This location is not as overwhelming as Long Island location I visited. The meat counter had lots of interesting meat, but when I asked for something that cooks quickly for a stir fry, they had nothing.
The store is robustly stocked with Gluten Free products that cater to a dubious need from wacky Brooklynites, many (including the cashier we asked) don't even know what gluten is. However finding a single nut free granola, or baked-in-house-dessert for someone who legitimately gets anaphylactic shock due to a very real nut allergy proved maddeningly difficult and we left unsatisfied.

Long before there was a "Whole Foods" there was a fairway. Long before there were hipsters in Williamsburg, there was a Fairway. Long before the yuppies expanded Park Slope all the way through Sunset Park there was a Fairway. Long before a transplant from a square state moved to Brooklyn and acted like they discovered fire by going to long time established businesses there was a Fairway.
Great selection. Great quality foods. Go here and then you can act all cool by saying "oh, I bought these groceries at Fairway."

Sit here and eat a lobster roll while looking at the Statue of Liberty. it's not a bad way to shop for groceries and stop for a nosh along the way. Ever so slightly overpriced.

I love that this is listed as a separate venue, they have so earned it. Delicious salad bar that has just about everything. I've been tempted to grab antipasto and eat it throughout the store (paying after, right?).
Huge selection of fresh cheese, salsa tasting station (complete with chips) and a wonderful selection of smoked meats.
