I've stayed approximate four weeks at this Fairfield. The staff is extremely friendly and the facilities are nice and clean. Prices are the best in the area.

I had a good experience at this hotel. The surroundings are shady the rooms are old but the location is good and the staff is really helpful. If you want to spend a night close by LGA it's a good affordable place.
Not suitable for vacation in NYC

My Mom and I had been staying at the Hilton Midtown for 3 nights for a group trip that the company I worked for had won. The Hilton was a fancy hotel with pretty much no amenities. No fridge, no coffee maker and no complimentary breakfast of any kind. We took the group shuttle to La Guardia Airport. We were not flying anywhere but I knew our next hotel, the Fairfield Inn, provided free pick up and drop off from this airport. That is one of the reasons I chose this hotel. It was also close to the Met's Stadium and we were going to the game that night. I called the hotel to request a pick up. Johnny (I think that was his name), arrived shortly after to pick us up. I asked him if the Stadium was within walking distance from the hotel. He said it was over a mile but he would be able to drop us off there and pick us up when were ready at NO CHARGE! This was awesome because, although Mom and I do not mind walking, it was not in the nicest of neighborhoods. Johnny dropped us off along with 4 other people who were going to the game too. He showed us where he would meet us after the game. Picked us all up, no problem. The next day, Mom and I had prearranged to rent a car from Avis at La Guardia airport so we could drive to Cooperstown for a one night stay and then return the car to La Guardia airport and come back and stay another night at Fairfield Inn, go to a Yankee game and fly out the next day from La Guardia airport. We didn't want to haul our big suitcases to the airport and then to Cooperstown for one night, so we asked if we could just pack an overnight bag and leave our big suitcases with them. No problem! We filled out a claim ticket and retrieved them when we got back. The Fairfield shuttle driver, (a different driver this time) took us free of charge to Avis and picked us up the following day when we returned the car.
As far as the hotel itself, it had more amenities than the fancy Midtown Hilton did! Fridge and coffee maker in the room. Free breakfast, and I don't mean just a pastry. There was a variety of hot and cold food. We were in a hurry both mornings trying to catch the shuttle to the airport so we were not able to actually sit down, take our time and eat but the staff encouraged us to grab something and they would wait a few minutes. Everybody, drivers, reception desk attendants as well as the housekeeping staff were all very friendly. We were in 3 different hotels while in NY and a 4th while in Toronto. This, by far, was our favorite. I felt like they went above and beyond to make our short stay pleasant and hassle free. Thanks to ALL of you at Fairfield Inn in Flushing.

Maybe the location and the parking size are not great but the rooms are very clean, and the staff its very friendly. Of course the price isn't so bad for NY.
