Pros: I have a renovated one bedroom and although it is small, most everything is new.
Cons: Please take my advice and definitely look elsewhere. I have highlighted the main issues below:
-Moved in and my doorbell, hallway light (in a very dangerous location) and bedroom heat did not work and have not been fixed. When I tried to schedule a repairperson, I was told “we don’t pay overtime” in regards to scheduling on nights and weekends. I work during the week and other than an emergency, will not allow staff inside my apartment because I have medical equipment. Thankfully, my wonderful parents bought me a heated blanket so I don’t have to worry about hypothermia overnight.
-There is someone storing items in my garage rafters. As I pay $70 a month for the garage, I would like to use all my space. Refer to the “we don’t pay overtime” statement as to why the items are still in my garage.
-Rent. I pay my rent each and every month. In September, I placed my first check in the office mailbox since upon signing the lease was advised I could do so (and it was cashed). I did the same for October (I have a witness) and it was not cashed. I very well documented the entire process of trying to see where the check was. I called all around and asked if I should cancel it. I was told no and that someone would look for it and get back to me. No one ever called. The main management company said someone did call me, so I went ahead and pulled all my records from the phone company to prove they didn’t (I maintained all these records). I took matters into my own hands and canceled the check and paid the rent online. This resulted in a trip to court (even though I paid on time – not my fault the office staff lost my check AND told me not to cancel it), as well as fees they are trying to charge me. Case was dismissed in court (obviously) and they keep trying to charge me erroneous fees. This caused and continues to cause a lot of undue stress.
-Not enough parking for residents. You can purchase a permit to park on the street, but even so if you get home late you will be walking pretty far in the dark.
If I could get out of my lease without penalty, I would definitely move.
*I pay $1365 in rent and noticed it went up a lot.

the apartments are made for commuters going back and forth to New York .... with very little belongings...The apartments have hardly any closet space... every tenant's main complaint.... an OK place if you cannot find an apartment for the interim....
thereafter ,not long lasting to reside... the rent constantly goes up provoking tenants to move .....causing high turnover of tenants. there is no amenities for kids ...no playgrounds ...in addition, garage space is very limited ....

While the price point is reasonable, you get what you pay for: (1) Slow to act maintenance, (2) No snow removal, (3) Lack of parking, (4) Unresponsive leasing manager (she only answers calls from out of state area; if I wanted to speak with the office, I always needed to call from a non-201 number. 201 calls were always screened and were never answered); (5) Pests (mice, bugs); (6) Thin walls (I can hear my neighbor snoring); (7) Leasing office hrs from 9 to 4 and closed for 2 hrs for lunch every day. It's impossible to request repairs if you work 8 to 5.

It's quiet which is a plus and other tenants are very nice, but the buildings are old and in need of repair. This complex is part of a large conglomerate apartment owner. You're just a number to these people. The Property Manager could care less about you, your concerns and your safety.

I'd recommend staying away from this apartment complex, as well as any apartment complex managed by Affiliated Mgmt.

Beautiful grounds and very nice staff. Only downside is the apartments don't have the greatest closet space.
