Absolutely the worst place ever. Frames have been there for 10 days and they aren't even shipped back yet. Owner/ Manger lied to me and said they would be done. When asked to explain himself today he said....it happens and brushed it under the rug. DONT SHOP HERE!!!

They delivered my glasses over a week late despite charging me the overnight rate because the manager went on vacation and didn't place the orders on time. Randy Appelbaum, the owner, talks over you with a repugnant attitude, saying things like, "I don't know who taught you that the customer is always right, but no, customers are wrong. That's my business model." Similarly, when confronted about his employee's discrepant claims, he maintained that he didn't care what the other representative said and that they never guarantee anything. This sorry excuse for a company doesn't deserve anyone's business. It's literally run out of Randy's basement and you can expect the quality and service to reflect a serious lack of professionalism.

I am thrilled with my glasses. They are Shape 123 titanium frame bifocals. The prescription is perfect. The glasses are feather light (0.34 oz) and fit my face perfectly. I paid $155 net. I have a friend who has glasses almost identical to mine and he paid $800.

It's not worth the money you save dealing with Eyeglass Direct. In short, I had to send my frames to them twice before they got the rx for my lenses correct, they misplaced my original lenses, and the entire process took 3 and a half months before I had my frames with the correct lenses. My experience explained in a timeline:
Aug 29 - I ordered new rx lenses and nose pads for my current frames
Sept 21 - I send an email to requests an update on my order
Sept 22 - I receive an email saying my order has shipped
Sept 29 - I receive my frames with new lenses (I know immediately a mistake was made with the prescription), the nose pads had not been replaced, and they did not return my old lenses. I email to let them know of these issues and they said: "Hi, We ill issue a refund for the nose pads. We usually send back the old lenses. If you like send back the eyeglasses and we will check them."
Oct 5 - In regards to my previous lenses they write: "We will look for them. Cant promise we will find them." In regards to the incorrect rx they write: "Would like to send them back so we can check the Rx." It took me a few weeks to send them the frames so they could double check their work.
Dec 5 - I send an email asking for an update on my order, no response. About a week after this, I did receive my frames with new lenses and the rx is correct this time around.

The local glasses store wanted to charge me $220 to replace the lenses on my prescription sunglasses. Eyeglass direct charged me $86, including shipping. It took 12 days from when they received my frames, to when they posted them back to me with new polarized prescription lenses. The quality seems fine. Happy with my purchase.
