If I could give zero stars, I would. The main doctor Edward Ruvio (LIC 004707) is a dishonest doctor. This place uses pressure sales tactics to the unsuspecting patient/customer to try and force you to buy contacts from the store. From trying to convince me that I should switch to more expensive daily use contacts ("why don't you want to switch? I would have thought with you being a technology guy and all you would have liked to try something new"...maybe because they are 1.5X more expensive than 2 week disposables?)
I went into the store last Saturday with CRYSTAL CLEAR intentions of buying contacts online and going to Eye to Eye only for an eye exam and contact fitting. After declining to order contacts several times, Doctor Ruvio insisted that I "try out" the new contacts over the weekend before he write me a prescription. I had to make a second trip into the office in order to get a prescription, even after paying for one!!
Then, when I finally got my prescription the following Monday, I went online to order contacts and found out that Eye to Eye had informed my insurance company that I had spent my annual insurance budget on contacts with Eye to Eye! I called my insurance, Eye Med, and they said that this was a common strategy to make it more difficult for customers to get contacts outside the store and they cleared the incorrect benefit use from their system so I could order online and spend my annual budget via the online provider. I called Ruvio to discuss the situation, and after a very heated conversation which convinced me he was well aware of his deceptive practices, I told him he ran a dishonest business practice and he was taking advantage of people. I also asked for a refund of my copay for the unpleasant experience which sent him THROUGH THE ROOF, and ultimately caused him to hang up on me.
There's another nice eye exam place across the street, just go there and save yourself a big headache!

The doctor is really nice and thorough, he did the exams for both me and my husband , who is a nervous patient. He was very patient with him and answered all his questions and provided comfort to him. The sales assistant was also very attentive and helpful to both of us to order our frames and researching costs to us for getting the RX in the frames and all our options. So I'm not sure what happened to the negative reviewer...but Everything was professional and friendly for my and my husbands visit. I give it 4 stars out of 5 because the decor is not really new or beautiful.

First time at Eye to Eye.....Dr. Ed Ruvio was very thorough with my exam. I hadn't been to an eye doctor in a while so he was very patient with me. He told me that I had a stigmatism in one eye. He also asked a lot of questions about my family history. Since there were eye issues with my father and his side of the family, he recommended an x-ray. He was very clear on how much it would cost and how much my insurance would cover. I thought it was a good idea to do since there was such a while since my last eye doctor visit. After it was done, we talked about the image the x-ray produced at length. Money well spent, I thought. I learned a lot about what was going on with my eye and was relieved that there were no other issues.
Dr. Ruvio wrote the prescription. I stated that there was an eye glass company that I already do business with. There was no sales pitches or pressure to buy his products (eye glasses, etc.).
This is where Dr. Ruvio is really cool. I got prescription sunglasses using the prescription he wrote out. I went on vacation and used them for the first time. My eyes were killing me and I was getting a headache. I called him, but he was with a patient. He called me back and talked me off the cliff. He stated that it was normal for new prescription to hurt the eyes as the eyes are trying to adjust to something new. He asked me to call back in a few days if the discomfort did not go away when wearing the glasses. Sure enough......less than 48 hours, my eyes adjusted and the glasses work beautifully with the prescription he wrote.
Really great doctor -- highly recommended.

By far the worst experience at an optometrist office in my life. I scheduled my appointment a week in advance Doctor wasn't even at the office and I received no courtesy call or email of his delay. Waste of time and effort.
Please do not waste your time here. Go somewhere else because that's exactly what I'll be doing.

7 weeks for lens processing and still no sign of lenses. I have gotten the same lenses within a maximum of one week so the complexity reasoning doesn't make sense. Every time I call the person answering doesn't know the status or has to check with some one, but no one ever calls back. The sad part is I have made the payments for the eye exam and lenses. The doctor is fine but the service afterwards is just plain bad.
