Awesome West Village spot. I had dinner here, but I'm dying to come back for brunch!

Extra Virgin is a good place for brunch and lunch. It has a variety of options, both breakfast and all-day food that makes it a good fit for any person. Their huevos rancheros have great flavor and a balance of texture. The staff is helpful, though when the place gets busy (as it often does), they're not always the most attentive. The place is fairly large for the Village, and it offers plenty of setting, including outdoor tables.

I am giving this restaurant 2 stars because our apps were good. We went specifically for the Spaghetti and Meatballs - they really should rename this dish to Spaghetti and 2 bricks - really not good - I have a new all time low of respect for Anne Burrell who said these were the Best thing she ever eat - WOW - Anne, really? I can't believe that - did you ever try Frank's in the East Village? or even Lanza's also East village? Just to name 2 extremely better meatball dishes? . Go here for their main menu items - the Frito Miso was great and the scallops also. The Butternut Ravioli were good. But don't waste your time craving amazing meatball and come here - you will receive 2 mini meatloaf's with little flavor that are heavier than bricks. Not one of use finished our meatballs - with 2 guys that eat a lot - they didn't bother. If this is what trendy people think good meatballs taste like - its a sad culinary world out there

I ate here a while ago and the food was on POINT! I absolutely loved it. I was vehemently upset because the couple sitting next us got their good way before us and they came in AFTER us. It felt strange and I felt indignant. Last night my group of three got there and my two companions had wine. That came right away. I ordered their drink and it took more than 10 minutes to make. Impatience was overwhelming. I was appalled. There's something up with this place.

Came here on a Tues night and the wait for a table for 2 was over an hour long (this was 8:30pm)! Needless to say, I'm cranky when I'm hungry. :) The place is pretty big for the west village, tables are a bit tight, and there's the option to eat outdoors if you feel like waiting even longer. I chose the stuffed baby chicken special of the night. It was tasty but I expected more from the corn risotto--huge corn fanatic but was disappointed. :/ I think I would give it another shot maybe during brunch time.
