We moved in April 2015 from New Jersey to San Diego. Initial quote was $1400, which after detailed estimate grew to $1900 - still cheap compared to other companies. On the day of the move it grew still more to $2400 + $50 per person tip that moving guys asked for their "professional service". To their credit, they did moved everything quickly without breaking. $2550 - this is still acceptable, and should the problems end there, company would still get a positive rating from me.
Unfortunately, 2 of the boxes (one medium-sized and one "wardrobe" box) were lost during the move, and the company did not seem to put any effort into locating them. Gauging prices can be understandable, breaking stuff can be exusable, but just losing items is definitely not Ok.
It's been 6 month from our move and we still did not get any compensation.

Worst experience and poor management. First of all movers demand $200 tip when they came to pick up my boxes. Additional fees were posted which is fine but took over 1 week to provide me with the explanation of the charges? Driver called to informed 4 hours before they came and expected me to be home. When I called the office, they didn't even know my stuff left their office. On top of that, tried to charge $500 overnight storage fee because I couldn't be home to accept my boxes when you failed to contact me 24hrs prior? And that is listed on the contract that you will notified me at least a day before arrival... only good part about this move was the gentleman thay unloaded my boxes. Will never use your company again and whoever is thinking about using them, please think again.

This is a bait and switch operation. We were told they had availability for a large move from Long Beach to Buffalo on a certain date for $5200. When we called to confirm, they no longer had availability on that date, but were available the next day. All of a sudden the price went up to $8500 - for the exact same move. We started out speaking with a very nice woman, Angie, (bait) then ended up with a pushy man, Jerry. Buyer beware! Luckily we dodged this bullet.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I thought it best to warn anyone thinking about using Express Line Moving. I have moved several times with other companies and have never had such a terrible experience. First of all, they will tell you whatever you want to hear to upcharge you and get as much money as possible (like saying they will give you your own truck that will be delivered a certain day) but unfortunately they do not deliver on their promises. I moved from NYC to San Francisco and waited in SF for 3 extra days paying for a hotel room the whole time and paid extra to change my flight twice because they were much later on the delivery than they said they would be. The move cost me thousands of dollars more than it should have. Do not trust their estimates, and expect all promises to be broken. I learned the hard way!

Express Line Moving is my first choice in moving companies because of their reliability and attention to detail. When they delivered my baby grand piano, not only was the piano itself completely covered in bubble wrap, but they also took the time and consideration to protect my walls, doors, and wood floors. (There wasn’t a scratch!) The owner supervises the staff himself, ensuring that the move is smooth and successful, and that the appropriate clean-up is performed as well. Express Line Moving gives true meaning to the word, "professional".
