A colleague read an ad from ECF in the Amsterdam News about small business financing. I called and left a message and not only got a quick callback, but I was thoroughly introduced to a number of favorable programs ECF offers as well as being able to initiate review of my profile (without the typical paperwork burdens) the same day. Soon after, I learned from a partner that I would be breaching and/or jeopardizing contract terms that my business partners had already begun if I worked and/or sought financing with another institution. I immediately called the ECF representative to discuss the situation; he showed familiarity with the conflict that I described, respected the "rules of the game", and invited me back to get involved with ECF when I am able to fully engage. That response and attitude alone convinced me that ECF is a knowledgeable and credible professional group. The representative, David, even had a delightful personality! What more could one ask for? I absolutely plan to return when I -- and my partners -- are ready to accept the next phase of our needed assistance.
