I own an older MB & recently lost my mechanic when he moved out of state. I took it especially hard because he was an expert at keeping costs down on repairs. I decided to try EuroTech because there aren't many shops around who regularly work on older Benzes - but my experience has been painful to my wallet. Don't get me wrong: the guys that run the shop & do the work seem like decent enough people - they're just used to doing work for people with bottomless pockets, judging by the cars in there & the response I got to my outrage at a $1000 plus bill for brake work. Despite the fact I've asked them over & over again to call me before doing ANY work or replacing ANY parts they go ahead and do both. Their parts seem to cost double or triple what you'd pay if you tracked them down yourself online - and I'm talking the same exact parts from the same manufacturers. They don't even think about using rebuilt parts, apparently. This last job was the final straw for me. I asked them to take a look on the horns on my car & call me before replacing them. They called when I couldn't answer the phone, left a vague message & when I called back this morning they had already replaced the horns & hit me with a $140 plus bill. When they said the horns were $48 I thought they meant for a pair, since I easily found the same Bosch horns they installed for $19.75 apiece. Nope. They're $48 each. And then I'm told they came from a Mercedes dealer & that's what they cost. Obviously, I've picked the wrong shop. If you have an older Mercedes that you use as a daily driver & just want to keep it running properly DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. It will cost you an arm & a leg. On the other hand, if you have a beautiful vintage Benz that usually stays in your garage AND you earn seven figures a year, this is definitely the place for you.
