A bunch of liars. BEWARE !!!
They didn't do a flush or properly do the flush. The trans fluid is not pink, but black (pink when fluid is new in W5A580 trans), the trans clunks under load on down shifts, pickup/shift is slow in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gears. They appear to swap junkyard stuff in your vehicle and take your factory transmission instead of rebuilding it as you pay for. My transmission went into their shop WITH the original dealer stamp containing the serial number and identification of my transmission.
I spoke to the owner before taking my car over to his shop. He was fully understanding to the point of me requesting a full overhaul on my transmission. My transmission was not slipping or anything, but I knew a bearing was bad after seeing some needle bearing pieces when I lately changed the trans oil.
After the shop installed the "rebuilt transmission". I checked and saw there were no stickers on the newly installed trans they put in. I inquired, and informed Rich Varjan (owner) this was not my trans which came out, he was disgruntled after I informed the dealer sticker is not on the trans they gave me which meant this was not what came out my vehicle. He then angrily said they put the one in that came out. This is a blatant lie because I went under my car and saw the original dealer stickers prior to having it in their shop. The vehicle was a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.7L with a Chrysler W5A580 (Nag1).
According to well known professional rebuilders the Sprinters and the Cherokee Laredo Nag1 transmission are not the same or FULLY interchangeable. Could it be that the shop put a Sprinter or another 722.6 variant in my vehicle?
During the pickup where I paid $2600 to Rich Varjan, I asked what was wrong with my transmission and what was replaced (internally) that I would like to know. He informed he didn't know because one of his guys worked on it.
The transmission on the vehicle is a W5A580 and it somehow seems they used a substitute (perhaps a W5A330 from a junkyard) because the vehicle is not running as it was before, it clunks on the drive train (did not do this when it was taken to the shop), sluggish on pickup shifting. The trans in the vehicle does not feel like a Chrysler W5A580 (Nag1) which came out my 2007 Jeep Cherokee Laredo.
They are nice at the beginning when they want the business and tell you "don't worry". But now I'm worried $2600 later.
