Esquire Diner

After a really long red-eye flight, I had a hankering for something greasy and tasty. Off to Esquire Diner I went and I succumbed to my desires. I truly would've eaten anything at that moment, so it's no surprise I found my sweet potato fries delectable. I scarfed those things down like a pack of hungry hyenas, and was left with nothing but an empty plate when I remembered to take a picture for Yelp. My husband, brother, and cousin that accompanied me on my diner run weren't as impressed. My husband and brother ordered cheeseburgers that were just "okay" and my cousin ordered challah French toast that could be described as average. Nothing was really good enough to write home about. The take-away- point from this review is that Esquire Diner is a good place to grab some average diner food on a late night. Servers are really nice, too.

Wish I can place No star. Their price on an online menu is completely different when. I called and placed my order. RUDE STAFF, she hung up on me.

I have eaten at this diner many times and each time I have had a good experience with good food. The wait staff are always pleasant and make your time there more enjoyable.

We recently moved to this area in Queens. I moved from Sunnyside and my fiance moved from Jamaica. This past Friday; my fiance and I wanted to order dinner from the diner. We called at 7:45pm for a delivery. We were told on the phone that no deliveries are made after 8pm. Usually "diners" are open late if not open 24 hours. We decided to give them another opportunity by ordering the food at 6:45pm the next day (Saturday). We wanted to try the diners food so that we knew if we liked them or not. We host many different parties. And sometimes; we order bulk from places (i.e Superbowl parties, Christmas parties.) So, on Saturday my fiance called and placed an order with a woman. We also made a request for a 1 or 2 liter Sprite. She said that she does not carry cans, liters, or bottles of soda. She offered us a cup of soda. This confused the both of us. If you are providing a delivery service; why wouldn't you have drinks to be purchased as well? My fiance cancelled our order and we ordered food elsewhere. The entire experience was disappointing.

I went there for breakfast after a half day at school with my friends. It was around 11:00 am, they seated us in about 3 minutes. Service was kind. The Breakfast was good. It was comfortable. I got the French Toast with eggs. The syrup was prepackaged but still pretty good regardless. Came with LOTS of butter on the side, really great. I also got a hot chocolate. Was good but seemed really rushed, it could have been mixed more, obviously they used a prepackaged mix. The time we went there was pretty full of people however, so they were really busy. My friends didn't complain about their food, they said it was really yummy and tasty. It is best to go with a group of people to sit and chat and eat. Overall I would rate it a 6.8 out of 10. Not outstanding but pretty okay :)
