Pretty good. Just wished there were less people at peak times

This gym has a ton of amenities! Great atmosphere for those who are serious about training and keeping fit and healthy. Staff is very friendly and ready to help with whatever you need. I highly recommend! Worth the fee!

The music is pumping at the 92nd Street Equinox... Even in the showers! It might just be me, but this location has better, louder music!
92nd is pretty standard Equinox with exception for the townhouse style layout. You check in on the first floor, go downstairs to change, then go to the second floor for cardio... Then the weight room is back downstairs, but some of the other machines you need are on the second floor. It's going to be a lot of cardio (or wasted time).
It seems like Equinox has moved the furniture around a little and a few of the machines seem to be missing. I don't like this trend at all.
The people at this gym are a nice mix without the grossly vascular no-neck guys that throw 120 pound weights like candy that one might encounter at some other nearby gyms... Ahem. The locker room is extremely clean, even at 8:00 PM (a very busy time) and the showers, while they don't have revolutionary water pressure, are decent.
This location is pretty busy at hours you might not expect, so be prepared for that. Usually, gyms slow down around 9:00 PM, but this one is still popping up until closing.
Express: Equinox slowly but surely eliminates items from their floor to softly force you into buying personal training sessions. Their goal (slimy) is to have 65% of members regularly buying ridiculously overpriced training sessions. Are they worth it? Only if you have no clue what you're doing, otherwise only good for a refresher course once or twice a year.
I like the Columbus Circle better than this location.

Well, don't hate it...but...4 stars. Really, guys? Everybody here made of money? I've been a member here for 19 years and still nobody working there knows my name. Most important, they just raised my membership to $150 a month! For that money, it better be clean. All I need are free weights and an elliptical machine. I'd rather not pay for the 8 people at the front desk who do nothing all day or orchids in that vase in the locker room. A new manager every year...And you get to watch Alec Baldwin workout. Exciting. See ya Equinox.

This review is for the sports massage at the spa. I've run a marathon the past three years so I have tried out various places around the city in search of a good mid-training or pre-race massage. Equinox is the only place I have found consistent quality with therapists who actually listen to what you request. More expensive than I can afford on a regular basis, but worth the price before a big race!
