Epic Pain Management: Dr. Amit Goswami, MD

I have written a review before but I think Dr. G deserves another one. I have had major knee surgeries in the past and now my left knee is in constant pain because of the nature of the knee and the surgeries. Dr. G, upon seeing him actually listened to me, listened to my concerns and WE came up with a game plan to combat the condition.

I am now living between Texas and NJ and have chosen to stay with Dr. G, making my appointments coincide with my wife's business trips back to the tri-state area. Why? I will tell you he is the ONLY doctor who approached my knee pain as a real thing, other doctors just threw prescriptions at me and that was it. I didn't want that. Dr. G has combined medication(s) with minimally invasive interventional practices to decrease the pain. Dr. G has done radio frequencies, sympathetic injections in my back to decrease the pain in my knee.

He is the BEST Pain Management Doc I have ever seen. He has taken my pain level from a high 7 at its worst to a 5 and if you think that's nothing; trust me, its a HUGE thing. I am almost back to a normal life. I will be in pain until a new knee is put in so I will continue seeing Dr. G and getting his treatments until that day comes.

Great doctor. He really listens and understands the patient including hard cases like my wife and me. He is willing to take the extra step to make sure we are well taken care of. Best doctor I have had by far. Thx dr. Goswami.

Before I went to Dr Goswami I was home bound with pain and on disability. I have had chronic pain from a connective tissue disorder and other injuries/illnesses for most of my life. I was in my early 30's and didn't think I'd ever have any relief. Most doctors would refer me to someone else because my case was so complicated and If you're reading this you know that a day in pain can feel like an eternity. Dr. Goswami took the time and care needed to understand my needs and came up with a plan. After my first treatment I started making progress and my pain was decreasing. After a few more I was working around the house and exercising. Now I go to school full time, work 2 jobs and feel better than when I was a teenager. I no longer feel limited by my pain and I'm living the life I've always dreamed of.

Dr Goswami has helped me immensely with my pain. I had a complicated medical history with multiple laparoscopy procedures. Doctors were unable to treat the scar tissue or nerve pain that developed. Following all of these surgeries, I was dismissed and discharged to the next doctor. I was left with crippling pain that was interfering with my quality of life. Doctor Goswami took to the time to listen to my history and validated my pain. He has helped me with a series of injections and continued to problem solve when certain medicines or injections didn’t work. The spinal stimulator has significantly helped to alleviate my pain in combination with a personal medication program. I can increase or decrease the stimulatory output depending on my level of pain that day. I would highly recommend Dr. Goswami for pain management for his compassion and ideas for pain management.

Dr.Goswami is the most knowledgable,compassionate and far and away best pain management doctor that I have ever been treated by.I am a retired professional Broadway dancer,Gymnast,Film,TV and commercial actress as well as a Radio City Music Hall Rockette for over 12 years until I retired in 2001.
My injuries are varied but treatable.Unforteatly I do not fall into the catagory of needing pain management for a short duration of time as my injuries are degenerative and permanent.However, Dr.Goswami has never made me feel that there isn't a treatment plan that will work for me, as opposed to other doctors who just want to ply you with pain pills and send you on your way.I have never trusted a doctor as implicidty as I do Dr.Goswami.I am a perfectionist and want only the best treatment options and doctors to provide them for me.No doctor in the 20 plus years I have lived in pain have ever come close to the compassion,honesty and trust I feel with Dr.Goswami.He is far and away the most honest and upfront doctor that will explain every detail of your medical injuries and the options he feels are the best for you.
I have seen many pain management doctors in the last 20 years.Many who have been in the top doctors headlines.Do not believe the hype of any doctor you see until you see Dr.Goswami.I found him through the grace of god on a whim, and I feel so blessed that Dr.Goswami is the best doctor for pain management that I have ever seen .
He treats you with patience and time,never rushing you in and out.He listens to you and actually cares about any questions and fears you may have.He also does not disaprove of any supplements and vitamins you may take as many other doctors are completely unknowledgable about them.
Dr.Goswami treats you the patient with not only your injury,but your mind body and soul as a whole as every doctor should,but unfortuneatly do not.
I hope that anyone who is looking for either a new or changing pain management doctors will stop their search and make an appoitment with Dr.Goswami ASAP.You have nothing to lose and most importantly EVERYTHING to gain.
