I often rent from the Washington Street location downtown Newark.... I must say I LOVE THE CREW they go Above &Beyond to make sure you're satisfied before you pull off in your rental. Their Customer Service is Awesome, their work ethic together as a team is phenomenal all the way down to the guy who cleans and maintenence the vehicles. I hv not had a bad experience yet. They are prompt with doing what they say, they are very detail when explaining the rental agreement. I give Enterprise a 5* Keep up the great work and Continue to employ Great employees!

I enjoyed my rental from Newark on Washington St The service was professional, prompt and courteous. They took the time to explain everything to me. Fantastic staff and Manager.

Nightmare! Car broke down, totally not my fault. Instead of bringing me a new car they made me sit for over an hour waiting for a tow truck. They said he would take me to the local enterprise where a car was waiting. But instead he had to take me 65 miles away to the Philadelphia Airport. But instead of the car rental desk I was taken to the mechanic shop. They had told me a shuttle would take me for my replacement car. But instead they made me call and pay for a taxi. I was also told I could not have my belongings until the next morning. Everything I had, including my wallet ID and money were in the car. After a major battle they let me have my things. I was about to call the police because thank goodness, I did have my phone. NEVER will I ever rent from Enterprise again! Their stupid recording kept repeating how they pick you up wherever you are - except if they give you a faulty car, then you can just drop dead!

I made a reservation for 1p.m., I arrived at the location at 12:50 p.m. signed paper work by 12:55p.m. I did not leave the rental place until 2p.m. It took them over an hour to have the car ready for me. I would have appreciated advance notice if there were no cars available so I could plan accordingly. They did upgrade me to another car free of charge (which probably was the only cat available), but the tank was close to empty so I had to spend more money on filling the tank up after I received the car. Great staff, I think company has to figure out a better system

The only reason why I rated it two stars is because the staff was really nice while they inefficiently managed my rental. I was referred here by my insurance company after I was in an accident and made a 9am reservation. Somehow they gave away the last car to one of the people that walked in after me, so I had to wait. Someone was supposed to call me when it was available, but they didn't, so I followed up. The car was not ready until after 2pm. The staff was nice, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the first customer ever to rent a car, so the process could have been handled much more efficiently.
