Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Renting a car at Enterprise, Woodside, NY was great. The rental car rate was affordable; the car met my expectations and beyond. Additionally, the staff at the rental office went far to make me feel welcomed. I was picked up at my job, and after I returned the car, I was dropped off home. All of that while having an interpersonal conversation with employees. I surely recommend people to try the Enterprise experience at Woodside, NY.

My experience with the Woodside location was very, very good. My reservation was ready,and waiting. Staffs were courteous and very helpful. The process of completing the reservation was very quick and I was on my way in approximately 15 minutes.

I reached this location with a confirmed reservation only to find that there are no cars available. As per the staff, the corporate office overbooked the location and they couldn't do anything about it.. (!) The staff literally had to go and get the cars from other Enterprise locations while customers were waiting..! Got a car after 2 hours. The car was good. The staff was professional enough to offer discount on the rental due to the inconvenience caused. Nevertheless, a bitter experience..!

Enterprise "picked me up", as promised, and got me to their site on time for my reservation only to discover THEY HAD NO CARS! Really, I had a confirmed reservation and there was not one car at their location. One other customer with a reservation was stranded there, car-less.

The staff could not have been more professional in handling the situation, checking us in and then driving us all to a nearby location where there were plenty of cars. After waiting our turn at this new location (our driver/professional from the first location stayed with us) we finally got into a car and on the road, approximately one hour past our reservation time.

The problem seems to have been systemic...big company, plenty of cars at location B, no cars to satisfy reservations at nearby location A...and could have been resolved before we showed up for my reservations, not after. Giving the benefit of doubt, the experience reflects more upon Enterprise as a whole and not upon this particular location where, again, the staff was absolutely professional.

I never spend time writing negative reviews but I will never use enterprise again.

Today I had a family emergency and needed to rush to the hospital on Long Island. I called enterprise to book a car and explained that it was an emergency and got a good price on a vehicle and made a reservation. The woman I spoke to said her name was Joey and that they would send someone to pick me up within 20 minutes.

I waited outside for 30 minutes and when I called back, Joey answered and said "oh sorry we don't actually have any cars available today". I didn't get a phone call to tell me and it left me in a bind after waiting for 30 minutes in an emergency situation. She offered no solution and gave me an attitude for being upset.

I'll never use Enterprise again. Terrible customer service! I found a local place that had a better price in the end anyway. I just didn't need to waste all that time while a family member was in the emergency room.
