Haven't visited the restaurant but their butcher shop has a lot to offer.
I learned about this butcher shop when they offered a deal through groupon. Since purchasing and using the groupon I have visited this shop a few time. This butcher shop is small, clean but some cuts of meat here can be pretty expensive!
They offer various cuts of beef, pork and poultry as well as some seafood options.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. However, ironically the crab cakes that they sell is what has me returning. They are made perfectly and are filled with lots of crab meat instead of fillers. They also sell hot meals but I haven't tried them yet but they seem popular.
So far everything I have tried here as been delicious so I definitely will keep returning.

Embers was absolutely fine - very kind and attentive service, decent menu selection. The food was just okay. The steak was just a little undercooked for my taste, but delicious. The sides were fine. All in all, this was an okay experience, but not a memorable one. For the price range, there are better steakhouses in NYC - for example Strip House.
