Elmwood Park Auto Mall

After purchasing a used car with a transmission warranty, the transmission failed and these unprofessionals would not honor the warranty until I threatened legal action and then they sent my car to another unprofessional car shop (Discount Transmission, Palisades Park, NJ I should've known from the name) who didn't repair it at all, but charged me for 50%. After Elmwood Park insisted the car was in excellent condition, I put over $6000 into repairs within the first year. The check engine light came on immediately after purchasing it, which leads me to believe it was tampered with. Elmwood Park Auto Mall also advertised the car with certain things that were not present (including a bluetooth module worth $1000), and were pushy, assumptious and unprofessional before I bought the car, and then immediately after purchasing it they were downright nasty and hostile, smoking cigars in our faces in the showroom, refusing assistance with the warranty, and laughing at us openly for thinking the warranty meant anything. They also insisted it would be thoroughly cleaned and ready for pickup, and upon arriving on time they had not even started. The cleaning was pathetic with cobwebs still in between the doors and I soon came to learn the car had several spiders. Not a word was said about the severely dry rotted tires from sitting in the lot for three straight years, which I immediately had to replace for safety ($1800).

The Salesman that helped us was laid back and super helpful. I didn't feel pushed or rushed at all. I test drove the Lexus that I had my eye on, but I wasn't sure about the payments. They worked with me around my budget, gave me a fair deal on my trade in with my Chevy Traverse. The overall experience was excellent, definitely five stars. I would come here next time around and will be referring my friends.

Was on the lot browsing , a Latino male approached me forgot his name but who cares , he asked if i was interested in something I said yes , a x5 I was looking at then i said I want to test drive it , he said ok come inside , took my ID and my phone # , ok so then starts asking so when do you think you want to buy the car , I said I dunno I'm looking maybe with in a few days , then he's ok , um you might need to leave a deposit , I said I'm doing all trew my Bank of America , but before anything I want to drive it , then he says um don't you want to see the inside first , I say sure but I want to drive it ,so we walk to car , I attempt to go in the car battery is dead , says ok hold on , charges battery , key remote doseby work I sit inside say cool , about to put it drive. Think it's cool to test drive, he says oh no there's no plates on the car , come back inside ,,, ok go back inside , he talks to someone and says the plate people aren't here now , this point I'm getting annoyed , I m like what's the problem how long will they return by , he says so how serious are you about buying the car , I say I'm not committing to anything with out test drivedriving the car , he goes talks to his "manager " and says you would need to leave a deposit to ensure the car , $1500 cause it might not be here in a week I say fine it's not here it's not here , how you want me to commit to something I haven't driven , then says so you know are you serious about this car cause you would be waisting my time and keeping me from other clients , I'm like who is inside the dealer was empty, i say I'm here what you want me to tell you , he says you know if everyone test drives a car by the end they abuse and beat up the car n break it , I'm thinking so get in the car with me and let me test drive it , at this point I'm at 80% frustrated , he goes to the manger comes back , says you know what ever the price on the Internet is that's the price and that's it , I say ok also why you guys offer a coupon on your site , then proceeds to say that's the price , this point I had enough he treated me awful and no respect for me trying to bring them business , I said you know what I'm turned off by all this , and walked out , he had this hands holded and tilted his head , like owell ,

Incredible service. They treated me with the utmost respect and didn't force me to make my decision on the spot. It was a very personable experience. Once i came back they, helped through every step of the way of my car buying experience. I will recommend Elmwood Park Auto to all of my friends!

A really good experience. I called to make sure the Nissan was there and to take a look at it. Honored the price and a very good customer service. Overall they were professional and smooth experience no hassling at all. I would not mind shopping there again.
