Elizabethtown Gas Co

This is the worst company!! If you have an emergency forget it, they would tell you to call Monday through Friday! It's one of the worse snow storms today and when I called the emergency number to please come over and connect the gas,since we moved 2 days ago, they told me I would have to wait until Monday! It's the worst and most irresponsible/unprofessional company that I have seen before! We are under freezing temperatures and they don't give a sh*** about the conditions of the people! Sadly, because we live in Elizabeth we would have to deal with them!!!

We just moved and had to open a gas account so we opened it with Elizabethtown gas. We called for weeks or more until they finally gave us a date on when they will turn on the gas. However, we waited all day and since we're on the second floor with no doorbell, we specifically told them to call to let us know when they're outside or on their way and they agreed to it. They came but never called so I'm guessing they just knocked and left with leaving us a note that said "sorry to have missed you" We saw this the next day and called to reschedule. Unfortunately since this was during the holidays, It was schedule for at least a week later. Yet again we repeated that we do not have a doorbell so they know to call when they are outside. The day for them to turn on the gas came and at this point the gas was already turned off so we needed it to be turned on a soon as possible. We waited all day and called all day and they kept telling us the same thing that they'll be there within the hour which was a lie. They came at 1 am the next morning which was extremely frustrating. when they went to the basement to check everything, the guys seemed as they didn't know what they were doing. Honestly the worst service ever. We had two young children that got terribly sick because it was so cold. This could have been prevented from the beginning if it wasn't for their horrible service. I would recommend calling 2 to 3 months ahead for them to come to turn on your gas for it to arrive when you want it to because they will take their sweet time getting there to turn on the gas.

Great market here for an rival gas company because these guys will steal you money. Tried because I am no longer on the premises and they refused even after clearly stating that the shutoff valve is outside the house. Review them, trust me you'll see the stories. So upset that I did not do that first.
