It doesn't get more authentic than this -and that's saying a lot for West New York. It's usually bustling on the weekends. Food is Delicious with capital D, and very reasonably priced too. No children's menu but ask your server for chicken fingers and fries if that's your thing. Try the pozole. Order an horchata drink. Every sauce that comes with the complimentary chips is super hot. Every one.
That said, don't expect a franchise look and feel nor any polish in the decor. It's very mom-and-pop. As a rule of thumb for Mexican restaurants in general: the worse the mural on the wall, the better the food.
