My favorite drive into the city. This is the bridge they blew up at the end of the Dark Knight Rises. You can also ride your bike over it on the Five Boro Bike Tour.

It's not my favorite bridge but you can bike, walk, skate or drive and hey, we all gotta go to Queens sometimes. Now, the 59th Street bridge, well. That's a bridge!

I ride this bridge twice almost everyday...
It is the best view to Astoria and the Upper East Side..
It is very well maintained and clean, even on the worst snowstorm, it will be cleaned next day..
on the Manhattan side of bridge, it could save us the 1 extra block we have to walk/bike to the 1st avenue... some people will jump over the fence to save some time...

Get on the upper roadway Manhattan bound and just as you turn onto the bridge proper, you're greeted with one of the great unobstructed vistas of the City. The Empire looming in your face and Freedom shining to the left, it's a welcome site every single time. Yes it's crowded, but with only 3 connections between Queens and Manhattan, what do you expect?
Most NYers still call it the 59th St or the Queensboro bridge. Just like we still call the RFK bridge the Triboro and the Jackie Robinson Pkwy the Interboro.
