Not sure what everyone is complaining about, I stayed here 6 nights and it was good, for the price I can't complain. The room was clean, TV had lots of movies to watch, 5-10 minute walk to the bus that takes you to NYC for $2. A little noisy but got used to it. If I come back I'd stay here again.

This place is a disgrace! The hotel is extremely poorly maintained, getting Internet or even electric is a matter of luck, always short on basic bedding accommodations. In all truth - it resembles more a poor house, all blankets and sheets have holes! The breakfast consists primarily of stale bread.
What I hated the most is the fact that the staff is insincere and out there to trap their customers and charge for services they did not perform. Is this how you think you will attract people?
Such place exists and functions just across New York City! It's a shame, worst then what one see in a third world country!

The girl at the front desk when we checked in was very nice but the hotel needs some major work done to it. My family/friend had 2 rooms. The room with the 2 beds, there was a birds nest of hair in the shower that my husband clean out, there was not alarm clock and the toilet wasn't working right and ended up getting clogged and no one knew what a plunger was. My husband finally got them to look for 1 and he found 1 and it was after midnight before he was able to fix the toilet. This process took over an hour for him to get this. The room with the king bed, when we checked in and went to the room, the room spelled of cigarette smoke when it was suppose to be a non smoking room, all the lights were on and the TV was on with the volume up on 91 and the room was not ready as the bed was still being made up and this was after 6:30 when check in starts at 3:00. There website says they have free shuttle service, WHICH THEY DO NOT FROM THE HOTEL. You have to walk about 3/4 blocks to get the bus to drive you over the GW bridge and then take the subway into the city which you will be at 175th street and then have to take the subway all the way into the city. the bus costs $2 each way, which is not a bad deal. There are no signs telling you where to go to the bus stop and no signs pointing you in any direction especially when you have to get back to the hotel. We got lost at 11:00pm and ended up finding a taxi to take us back to the hotel, even though I called the hotel and the girl was trying to talk us our way back but we ended up walking right back to where we started when we initially got off the bus. We got back to our hotel and went to the room with the king bed and as soon as you opened the door you got a big smell of POT, the heater was on and the lights were still all on and so was the TV. I immediately went to the office and told the guy our room stunk and they better change our room, which they did, which that room on the other side of the wall was the laundry room which we had to listen to the noise from that. When he went to the new room we thought someone was in there already as all the lights were on and the tv volume was up to 91. It is extremely noise and you don't get enough sleep as the highway is right there and you hear all the traffic. The bathroom was way to small, the shower was not good and thought it was going to come out of the wall. The blow dryer unit came right off the wall. Our phone in our room had no directions on it as to how to call room to room or the front desk. The so called breakfast you get is not much, muffins, cereal and waffles. You will have to take to your room and eat as the checkin area is extremely small. The room seemed somewhat cleaned but we walked around in our socks and the bottoms were slightly black after walking on the floor, which has no rug on it. The internet is very slow. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, your best at staying in New Bergen where they actually have hotels that have a shuttle for $6 each way. I have stayed at the days inn before and it was way better than this hotel, but you need to plan well in advance for that hotel. If you want some what of a cheap stay and are only staying over night maybe for business then maybe you wouldn't mind this place, but for me never again will i ever stay there.

I would have given this zero stars if I could. I checked in and was given a key to a room that had 2 people already in it. So I went back to the front desk and was given another key and overheard a guy in his 50's ask for a "short stay". I saw a female in her 20's dressed like a hooker waiting outside in the car. They then gave me another room and new room key and I went to that room and knocked first due to my first experience and no one answered so I felt safe to use my key. Well the key worked and voila... Another middle aged man leaving with a young "hookeresque" looking female. Unfortunately I was traveling on last minute business and forgot my credit card at home and work had pre-booked and paid for the room. The room was slightly larger then a closet and smelled badly. There were fruit flies in the bathroom and makeup on two of the three pillows, and on one of the sheets. I was contemplating sleeping in my car.. I flipped the door latch ans placed a chair against the door as I was worried about the front desk handing out a key to someone that will work on my door. I left my bags locked in my trunk for fear of bed bugs.. felt as comfy and secure as a homeless shelter.
