We had a reunion on board Eastern Cruises - and I would recommend this cruise ship to anyone...
The staff was courteous, attentive, professional - and FUN! The food was exquisite and presentation was elegant & creative.
Captain Nick & Laurie could not have made our experience more delightful - it really felt like our boat for the evening...and what better place - than NYC...

My husband was floored! I don't know how I could have pulled off his surprise 50th birthday without you! I was so nervous but you put me right at ease, helping me choose the perfect menu and DJ. The boat is beautiful, your staff amazingly attentive and the food was excellent. Our friends are still calling raving about the whole experience. Thank you, Captain Nick, Laurie and the awesome crew of the Eastern Star for making this a special night we'll be talking about for years to come!

"Mesmerizing", "Once in a Lifetime", "I haven't felt like this since I was a kid". We heard those words during our Vow Renewal/Anniversary party on the Eastern Star and that is thanks to Laurie, Captain Nick and the wonderful crew. From day one, we fell in love with the Eastern Star and my first conversation with Laurie sealed the deal. Through all the preparations, they guided us through all the decisions we needed to make and had suggestions for vendors they had used before. Needless to say, everything came together beautifully for our evening and our guests were treated to a wonderful twilight cruise on the Hudson that they will never forget.

From the first moment on board, we were made to feel like family with plenty of good food, good wine and good conversations! Let's just say that the food on board rivals that of a 5 star restaurant or resort and exceeded our expectations. The menu offerings are extensive and there is definitely something for everyone. Frankly, I wish we could get a delivery of those tortellini/olive combos and the chicken marsala! After performing our ceremony, Captain Nick took us on a fabulous ride on the Hudson and being that close to the Landmarks was simply amazing! Every guest was glued to the sites during our cruise and we had the chance to see the City from a whole new perspective. The night skyline provided the perfect back drop for our party and we reveled in pointing out the newest buildings!

To say that the Eastern Star is the perfect place to host an event is a huge understatement. If you're like me, you're never quite sure whether you should trust reviews on line. To their credit, Laurie and Nick have been polishing their resume for many years and it shows in how they treat their guests. I meant it when I said we were treated like family and I know we'll talk about this party for years to come!

We hosted a surprise Birthday Party on the Eastern Star. From the moment our guests stepped aboard to the end of the cruise four hours later our guests had an evening of fun, great food, and the beautiful sights of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge sparkling at night. No wonder they said they would remember this cruise for the rest of their lives.The food was gourmet and just amazing. They had no trouble living up to the high standards of any fine Manhattan restaurant --- from the appetizers to the dinner buffet to amazing desserts. And what a great bar for wonderful cocktails under the stars! The cruise staff could not have been more thoughtful of all our guests and made the cruise a genuine pleasure. You can tell a lot from the manner in which the staff treats your elderly guests, going out of their way to be helpful to them, and this was true of the staff of the Eastern Star. Captain Nick went out of his way to take us where we wanted to go in order that our guests could see what they wanted. There is nothing like seeing all these sights from the water --- it made for a magical event.One that we will never forget. Run don't walk to the Eastern Star............
