Rude staff. And the policy to check in your bag made me tuck in some of my stuff in my shoes (very uncomfortable) and be worried about the rest of it I left in the back pack. When asked what's the logic of that policy, he couldn't answer. Also when I paid for checking my bag with a 5-dollar bill, even though the guy had lots of 1-dollar bills on the top of the counter he made sure he "looked for" change for about a minute. Seriously? Were you trying to get a 3-dollar tip for checking my bag for 2 dollars?
Regarding the people: older guys mostly.

Great bar for the leather, daddy, bear, otter, fetish crowd. Some nights are more fun than others. An institution in NYC that I hope never closes down!

Met the owner at an Indian restaurant. He said I reminded him of a young Ruth Gordon!!! Fabulous

Not only is this the most overpriced bar I've ever been to in NYC (which is a huge feat in itself), the majority of the staff are the most vile and rudest jerks I've ever seen in any city. The coat check guy actually cussed me out for trying to condense my belongings. The doorman treated us like crap because we wanted to go out on the patio to vape and said we couldn't because our "gear" wasn't up to his standards. I have never been treated so poorly by an establishment in my life.

Nice bar that caters to the fetish and leather gay crowd. Space is very big for Manhattan. Several floors and rooftop bar. The rooftop space is nice when the weather is warm.
