DuMont Burger

Over cooked my burger and i had to wait around 40mins despite the guy telling me it'll take 10-15.

Good portion though and high quality. Free sides as well.

We had high expectations for this place. We were in the neighborhood and several people had highly recommended the place.

First, the service was pleasant, and quick. We decided to sit at the bar which we didn't mind. It was a bit cramped but after the rude girls who wanted to practically sit on my lap left we had some breathing room. And the bartender was great and pretty easy on the eyes.

We ordered an fried pickles to share and 3 DuMont burgers. I'm not sure if all the hippsters in Williamsburg are running around with high blood pressure because that's surely what you get after eating here. Or maybe the the salt is good with the beer....?

The fried pickles were salty beyond belief. It was inedible after a couple bites. The burger was juicy and flavorful if not for the 1200mg of salt that was put into it. The onion rings must have been in the same batter as the fried pickles because after two bites I pretty much gave up on it.

Would I come back again. Maybe but I just might pass and head to Corner Bistro where I know I won't exceed my daily salt intake for the week.

Simply the best burger in NYC. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered and is always expertly executed. A very cool place, I just wish it was about 3X larger, because weekend evenings are a complete mob-scene.

Went here on a Saturday night with my girlfriend, food was good and not crowded. However, when the bill came I grabbed my wallet to pay cash but she offered to put it on her card, we eventually did that. Absentmindedly we left her card along with the tip and receipts and exited. 2 days later she noticed it missing, contacted the establishment and I went to go pick it up. A few days later she received notice of multiple charges to her account in excess of $400+!!! To our knowledge the card never left the possession of the employees at DuMont Burger, holding them accountable for any fraudulent activities that occurred. Would've gladly been a returning customer here but after that, no way! My advice to anyone dining here: pay cash!! If you must charge it, be careful with your information here, there's a crook in the building!!

This place used to be good, but latley it has gone down hill. A $14 burger should be spectacular. I'm not sure if they changed management or what but the beef paddies have little taste and the bread they use is super old. Its happened twice now, too bad :( would have liked to come back.
