The "wildlife" that finds sanctuary here are mosquitoes and whatever the micro-ecosystem is that lives in rotting horseshoe crabs. This is a small 1/2 saltwater marsh and 1/2 beachy peninsula that is interesting enough (and unvisited enough) to visit if you want a very quiet area to bathe in deet and explore the great saltwater quag of Jamaica Bay.
