Sophia in the pharmacy - and the whole pharmacy - is amazing! One of the employees on the floor, a super sweet guy, helped me pick out nail polish while I was waiting (what else to do but shop?), and everyone was attentive and kind. Yaaaaaaay for being treated like a real live human being!

This Duane Reade is hit or miss. You can sometimes wait on line for minutes because of the lack of staff behind the registers. As for the pharmacy, it's the best thing about them. The rest of the store needs to catch up with the pharmacy.

The girl behind the counter was extremely rude to me. I walked up to the check out counter and there was no one there. I waited and then a girl came up and said "no one is there" which confused me. Then I realized she was saying that she would not check me out there and that I needed to ask her to check me out on one of the machines. She then asked another worker putting things on shelves to check me out because she was to lazy to walk to a machine...crazy...

Unlike the other reviewers, I think this Duane Reade's pharmacy is its best asset: The staff is consistently courteous and tries hard to get prescriptions out quickly. It's amazing how much is in stock in their teeny space downstairs; I've yet to be told they don't have something, a common occurrence at some mammoth competitors nearby. I find it's the rest of this Duane Reade that is lacking - in inventory and service; count on inexplicably long lines upstairs in the purely retail portion of the store.

This is without question the best establishment of any place I have ever been. I wish there were Duane Reade stores back in Georgia. OPEN A DUANE READE IN GEORGIA!!!
