Dr. Steven R. Savona, MD

I've met with four doctors regarding the same medical condition, and Dr. Steven Savona's professional opinion was highly at odds with the other three doctors' opinions as well as what appears to me to be the generally accepted standards of care for this condition based on my own research. His recommended course of action was so different from that of the other doctors that it's quite difficult for me to comprehend. In addition, although I faxed his office all medical records prior to the appointment and was advised that he would review these documents before the appointment, he never even looked at any of them before my family and I arrived to meet with him. He didn't even know the basic reason for the appointment, nor did he have the faxed copies available, and I had to supply him with additional copies that I had luckily brought with me. On top of all of this, he struck me as a doctor that had little compassion for my family and I, and my family and I all found him to be very condescending to us. My experience with Dr. Savona was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a medical professional, and I would never recommend him to anybody (in contrast, the other three doctors I met with all had similar opinions/recommendations and were fantastic).
