Dr. Sterling entered the room and barely looked at me, but immediately went to the computer and began typing. Thru the whole visit she typed and typed as I answered questions. She tended to cut me off often in my answers. At one point, her system crashed. She stormed out in a huff and said she would return when the girl came in to fix it. I just sat and waited. When she returned, she spoke little in answer to my questions and seemed in a hurry. She prescribed a drug and told me to communicate thru email.
I sent her 2 or 3 email, with various questions and she never responded, until I was forced to call her office and verbally complained. I got responses only after calling and complaining.
I found her essentially appearing as very uninterested -- even tho I was diagnosed with a fungus! When I saw another MD at Cornell, I was told that Dr. Sterlings drug was unnecessary. In fact, an NYU MD also concurred. The Cornell MD said that even if she were giving me the drug, she should have been monitoring me to see if I had the correct dose of this very potent medication.
Essentially, I would never recommend this MD. She seemed abrupt, disinterested, in a hurry, unpleasant, not willing to engage in any way, and certainly unwilling to follow up. It was as if she were off the case as soon as I left the office!!!
Surely you can find a better infectious disease MD than this doctor! Look elsewhere!!
