Dr. Stephanie K. Lam, DO

I have been a patient of Dr. Lam for years and she recently delivered our baby girl. I highly recommend her as an OB/Gyn. Appointments are made in a reasonable time frame, the wait in the office is not long at all, she calls you back if you need to get in touch with her and the staff is exceptional. Overall always a pleasant experience.

I went to Dr. Lam office several weeks ago and I got the sonogram done. the doctor from sonogram department told me I had a polyp in the uterus and I need to talk to my primary GYN doctor soon. But I was not able to reach Dr.Lam for 2 weeks after that, and finally when she called me she said "Your baby is totally normal", But I am not pregnant, I have a polyp instead!!! I found out there was the other patient who has the same name with me, and Dr.Lam mixed up her chart with me.
Checking date of birth is the basic of basics for especially OBGYN!!! I really worried about the other lady who has a baby inside, what if the doctor told her that she has a polyp so ask her to do D&C, take out baby instead of a polyp!!! The office clarks are also very careless and slow. When I asked the copies of my record, they didn not mail it to me more than 1 week so I physically visited the office to pick up my all records and I found missing papers at home. So, I had to visit the office again to pick up the missimg labs. They never appologized me for anything. They did nlot seem to care about patients safety or convience at all and Dr.Lam call them "the best secretaries"!!! Do not go there if you want to keep your right baby.

Dr. Lam is intelligent, accessible (contrary to some other reviews), and, most importantly, wonderfully warm and understanding. I went into pre-term labor at 23 weeks, and with steadfast expertise, she successfully placed a cerclage that literally saved my pregnancy. I have no hesitance in recommending Dr. Lam - I can say with confidence you will have a positive experience as well!
