Both my wife and I have been patients of Dr. Rex. While we have recently left his office, we would both
highly recommend Dr. Rex. He is a very caring, thorough, thoughtful professional.

He is the worst doctor I've ever been to. I was admitted to St Francis Hosp for shortness of breath. I was put on oxygen and morphine. So much morphine the nurse told me she couldn't even wake me up. Dr. Rex came in twice and both times all he did was try to convince me to sign up for his concierge type practice which would cost 1,600 per year and then he would be on call for me. He never discussed my shortness of breath or the reason for the excess of morphine. I was not in intolerable pain when I went into the hospital. I do suffer from severe arthritis of back and knees, but I was treated like I was in intolerable pain. Dr. Rex is very good at prescribing an excess of pain medications. My Son heard dr rex trying to sell me on his practice and he thought it was deplorable and even unethical for him to be selling himself with no regard to what was wrong with me. I was not told to see anyone upon release from the hospital except Dr. Rex.. I am now on oxygen for heart problems ever since that episode at St. Francis, a heart hospital where I never saw a Cardiologist unless they came when I was unconscious from morphine. Dr. Rex also had the nerve to send me letters urging me to sign up to his program and send him the money of course when I joined. He should not be practicing at St. Francis. I wont even go back to that hospital for fear I will be stuck with the ego driven, poor example of an Internist. Stay away from him. and his wife who runs the office is impossible to deal with. terrible attitude and incompetent to boot. You will never get your test reports in a timely manor.

I am a new patient of Dr. Rex and initially was pleased with him. Recently I received a sonogram with abnormal results and had to wait two weeks to get a copy of the report from the radialogist. The day of the sonogram, the sonogram technician spoke to the doctor who was making hospital rounds. The doctor then spoke to me and I was advised to make another appt for another sonogram. I was not told was was abnormal about my exam. The doc then went on vacation for a week. Do you think when he returned he called me? No, he did not. I had to call and pester employees to get a copy of the report which I picked up the day of my second sonogram, which was August 6th 2014. Technician said Doc would have report the following day. Next day I call, I am told there is no report. On Friday, August 8, 2014, I receive a call report is in but I cannot have results because the doc is on vacation until next Thursday. I request that the covering doc read it and call me with results and am told he cannot. I then ask they call the vacationing Dr. Rex give him the results and then call me back. Staff agrees, I receive a call that the doc will call me later that night, August 8, 2014. It is now Saturday, August 9, 2014, still no response from Dr. Rex. I can only assume since the staff is unable to tell me the results that the test is again abnormal. Based upon the prior report and a lack of response from Dr. Rex's office, and research I have been doing, I need blood work performed and need to see a specialist. I will be switching doctors.
