Dr. Ross Cooperman saved my life. He is an outstanding doctor and an amazing man. He truly cares about his patients well being. After undergoing a breast reduction, the pathology from that surgery found invasive lobular carcinoma. My breast surgeon at that time, suggested that the best treatment for me was to wait several months and keep watching and monitoring everything very closely. Dr. Cooperman felt very strongly against waiting. He believed that the best course of action should be a double mastectomy. He urged me to set up an appointment with Dr. M. Michele Blackwood. He held my hand and I called her from his office. I was so nervous and scared. I had no idea which path to go down, but I knew I felt comfortable and believed in Dr. Cooperman.I was right to trust him, he had my well being at hand. I met with Dr. Blackwood and she also strongly believed that the best way to handle my case was to have a double mastectomy. In the end, it saved my life because they found an enormous amount of lobular carcinoma in the tissue that was removed in the surgery. If Dr. Cooperman had not intervened and disagreed with another doctors diagnosis and treatment plan, I would not be here today. I was not just another patient with Dr. Cooperman. I felt that I was treated like a member of his family. Dr. Cooperman, I owe you my life and words cannot express how much I appreciate everything you have done for me and my family.

Dr. Ross Cooperman made a difficult situation so much easier than I thought it would be! I was diagnosed with breast cancer with no thought of having reconstructive surgery. My breast surgeon thankfully recommended that I speak to Dr. Cooperman. I was very nervous upon walking into his office...but with great compassion, he explained the procedure in a way that quickly put my mind at ease. He was positive, thoughtful and kind and he made me feel very safe and confident in his expertise. Losing a breast can often lead to depression for many woman...this is something I was concerned about before entering my surgery. Dr. Cooperman made me feel very secure in my decision to do reconstruction and I'm happy to say I never felt sad or depressed during my recovery. He is not only an excellent surgeon, he is a very warm, caring and empathetic human being. I am so very grateful that he was my plastic surgeon and he will always remain a very special person in my life.

This is one of the finest human beings to walk this earth. This man truly cares about his patients' well-being and good health. He saved my daughters' life in 2012, when she developed necrotizing fasciitis. He won't take credit for it. That's how humble he is. That's saying something...especially for a surgeon.

He's the best! Not only does he take the time to explain details of the procedures & answer all my questions, but he has such a humble heart. After undergoing 16 treatments of chemo & facing a mastectomy, I was so grateful to be referred to a plastic surgeon with such compassion. I had no fear going into surgery like most young women, because I trusted Dr. Cooperman's skills completely. He has been one of my angels on my cancer care team.

Words cannot accurately describe the skill, craftsmanship, professionalism and accuracy of Dr. Ross Cooperman and his work. He has a bedside manner unparalleled to any other doctor in his field. He is spot on with his education and knowledge of his craft and will not stop until he has the answer to not only his patients’ question’s but his own as well. With this being said, Dr. Cooperman saved my life. Being diagnosed with a tumor in my breast at such a young age he recommended I see a geneticist to really explore my options. Since, if I happened to have a genetic mutation such as BRACA 1 or 2 my options for surgery(ies) would drastically change. Turns out he couldn’t have been more accurate; I was a carrier of the mutation on chromosome 17; at age 28 with a tumor the size of a golf ball in my left breast I was BRACA 1 positive. From here, teamed with my breast surgeon a plan of action was mapped out and executed beautifully. I was on my way to undergoing a pro-active nipple sparing mastectomy. Frightening yes, however, I took on the task with grace because I knew I was a pioneer for all women while simultaneously in the care of two of the top doctors in not only the country but the world. As I approach the eve of my third and final breast surgery I am pleased with not only my results thus far but the patience and prudence of my reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Ross Cooperman. I am a happy and healthy 29-year-old woman with my own nipples and minimal scars which will fade as the years pass. I give my utmost respect to Dr. Cooperman for changing my life and that of my children’s in years to come. You are a master of your craft and an artiest whose number one care is the health of your patients. I commend you on your hard work and dedications to changing the world and the worlds of the many women who need you.
