It has been just over two weeks since I had spinal surgery with Dr. Ronald Lehman.
The day before I was scheduled for surgery we arrived in New York from Florida and I had
one more serious talk with the Doctor. I explained more details that I had not thoroughly
discussed before and he really listened. He re-evaluated his intended procedure with his
whole team, they did the wonderful job that put me out of constant pain. Dr. Lehman is
someone that listens to what his patient have to say. He let me take all the time I needed
to express my concerns. You can’t find a kinder person or more qualified surgeon anywhere.
Not only do I think the world of Dr. Lehman, but also his team and hospital staff is
the best I have ever experienced. The Physicians Assistants, nurses, physical
therapists, occupational therapists, all of the support staff are highly trained and
immediately available to the patient. I looked forward to the surprisingly delicious
hospital food. They had a special lounge available for the family members of
surgical patients of the spinal surgical patients. We were able to relax, eat, drink and meet
other families with the same issues. This was a wonderful benefit for the family
members. The Columbia Presbyterian Spine Hospital of the Allen Pavilion did not
overlook anything. Even their positive attitude and smiling faces were contagious to
family and patient!
