Dr. Rini Palathingal, MD

My wife had raging fevers during chemo and this doc did absolutely NOTHING!!! A simple google search will tell you fevers during chemo are an emergency life and death situation. This doc did nothing and the other docs answering the phone over the weekends did nothing. And my wife continued this way throughout her chemotherapy. Yes, that's right, with raging fevers... Please do NOT go to this place. I am begging you to take your loved one or yourself anywhere else in the world but here. Like the other reviewers said, this is a matter of life and death and these people do not seem to care or get it.

Do not go to this Dr for cancer treatment. Do your research and go anywhere else. They are not responsive to questions, do not seem like they have the time to deal with you, when it is their job and they are paid to do so. They are not aware of nor do they follow most accepted protocols for cancer. You will waste precious time here. Look up where they specialize in the cancer treatment you seek and go there. This place is a waste of time and your life depends on it.

My father went to see Dr Palathingal for lung cancer 6 years ago. It's been 5 years today since he passed away. I begged him to go to Sloan Kettering or another better cancer center. Out of convenience, he refused. Look, I'm not saying Dr. Palathingal caused my father to die, but I definitely do not think she and her staff are equipped to help people with advanced cancers. I wrote her a letter after my father died, simply to thank her. I have to say, I was surprised neither she nor her staff ever contacted me, even in the form of the simplest postcard, to acknowledge my correspondence. It spoke volumes about their practice. I would not recommend this practice to someone who has just received a cancer diagnosis.

She had to use a school book to reference my type of cancer (which she got wrong and was looking up the wrong thing even tho i had been going to her for chemo for months, she failed to remember my stage of cancer. After discussing emotional aspects of my cancer with her, she walked over to office staff and told them personal things i had said!!!! and then never came back into the room to end our visit! the front office staff are gruff and inhospitable. the chemo nurses are cold and unfeeling. the other docs are cold and uncaring. the wait times are lengthy. This entire oncology practice is unethical, unprofessional, unvelievable and unacceptable. Do NOT go to this ghetto whole in jersey city. please get yourself to a reputable, top-notch establishment. This is your life!!!!
