A physician we hold in high regard has recommended Dr. Morel for our new primary physician - we have recently moved to the area. My priority was getting vaccines for my India travel in two weeks and a physician follow up to my cardio exams this summer. They could not schedule Dr. Morel to see me before December, but the worrisome part is that they would not allow me to see a "travel doctor" before I see a primary care physician in their practice, even though I already scheduled, submitted my insurance info and signed up with Dr. Morel. In short, this practice agreed to be my primary care go-to, but at the same time refused to make sure I get my shots before I travel.
It took some time for the person on the phone to go back and forth with whomever they were checking in, and I'm positive that the phone answering service is a third party that is not physically present in the office and has no immediate knowledge of the practice. That seems to make things very difficult when you call with anything other than scheduling a straight appointment.
