Dr. Ranjit Mitra, MD

I haven't seen Dr. Mitra in over 2 years. This complaint is not about him, but the incompetent, rude, "women" that run that office. I called to make an appt., and was refused because I have a past due balance from before I had insurance. She told me it was in collections (which it is NOT) because I have been paying this "balance" for years. Also, she said I must pay $480 cash upfront to see the dr and would not allow me to make a partial payment or arrange a payment plan. I have been receiving bills from "St. Georges Behavioral" for quite some time, no collection agency. This woman was a (excuse my language) bitch and should not be working in the medical field. I have some really serious emotional problems right now and need to talk to someone but I can't. I need to find a new dr. And correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't collections mean your account was sold and you must now pay the collector? This woman had the NERVE to ask for $480 up front. Very, Very poor business and from one customer service agent to another (which is all those incompetents are) find a new career because you are absolutely awful at your job and ruining the practice.
