Dr. Olivia Yanni

Dr. Yanni is a caring and compassionate professional and a skilled practioner. Most of all she can relate to her clients. This is a rare gift as most dentists are money-centric. She is an excellent dentist.

SHE IS A WONDERFUL DENTIST!
The most caring and and loving doctor. She cares about the patient more than she cares about the money, unlike many other dentists.
ALL of her patients love her, including myself. She treats everyone like FAMILY.
Usually going to the dentist is scary, but she makes all of her patients feel comfortable. I love her!

I've been here a few times.

Let me start by saying that her office will call you 2 or 3 times to "confirm" your appointment but they always, yes EVERY time, ask if you can come earlier than the time that you were scheduled. Fine, no problem. When you arrive on time, or early rather, YOU ARE NOT SEEN AT THAT TIME. So, basically they ask you to inconvenience yourself to come early just to wait in the waiting room.

Next, her office is filthy. I mean filthy. There's dust all over the floors, walls and piled up in the corners of the rooms. There are spots of dried blood on the floors as well. The floors look as if they've never been mopped. It makes me question whether the instruments are properly sterilized. Don't get me started on the bathroom. Let's just say I held it in. I'm sure it wouldn't kill you top hire a cleaning service to come once a week.

Her staff is very rude. I don't even want to talk about their attitudes. They don't call you back when they are supposed to as per the Dr. If she tells her receptionist to call you back in 10 days to schedule a follow up then you should set a reminder in your phone to call because if you depend on her staff it will never get done.

Let's talk about the doctor/dentist. She is very nice in the beginning. It's also obvious she's money hungry and gives off the impression that that's all she cares about. Instead of having empathy for her patients she talks about how her patient having to get a route canal is "MUSIC TO HER EARS" while she rubs her fingers together symbolizing money coming in.

Not to mention, she left me in the room alone, MID ROOT CANAL, with a large piece of metal in my mouth and came back 15-20 minutes later chewing something with a drink in her hand. Needless to say I was furious that she thought it was the perfect time to take lunch in the middle of my root canal. By the time she came back, I was no longer numb. When I told her what she was doing was hurting me because I wasn't numb anymore, she said "You're a difficult patient and I hope you know that."

Also, she complains the entire time shes working on your teeth. Whether it be a filling or a root canal. She complains how it tired her and she's drained for the day and it was very difficult, while constantly reminding you that you're not a pleasant patient. Maybe it's you and your office that isn't so pleasant. Safe to say I will never be returning to this office ever again. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Its hard to get a fast appointment with Dr. Yanni if its not an emergency. But that's not a surprise; for the level of service she gives to her patients is extraordinary, its inevitable that the wait is sometimes 3 weeks. Im a person who ALWAYS had issues with my teeth, the many dentists I have seen throughout my life have always left me with anxiety and fear of returning to them. These painful experiences have lead me to deal with pain and infections rather then getting treatment by another dentist. Until someone referred me to Dr Yanni. She really is a GODSEND, she's gentle, explains everything thoroughly and makes sure you are comfortable before doing any procedures. Her demeanor is caring and always sunny. I would have probebly ended up in the hospital with a spread infection this last time if it wasn't for my friend recommending her. I would much rather deal with that then go to any other dentist. My teeth woes are over. She's taking care of all the past shoddy work done, with minimum hassle to me. Her staff is courteous, they call to remind you of appointments, they handle all the paperwork. I cant say enough of good things for these people. They are incredible!
