Reviews to Dr. Igor Zakharov, DO
DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. I don't normally post reviews, but this experience was so terrible for me that I'm actually taking time out of my day to write this review. First, I waited an hour to see the doctor on the day of my appointment. My appointment was at five, I wasn't called back until about 5:50. After seeing Dr. Zacharov, who was actually a nice guy, i was told to call back two days later to get the results of my blood work. It was a Monday, and Doctor specifically said to ask to speak to him when I call two days later, on Wednesday. Long story short, I spent three days calling to try to find out my results of my bloodwork, as I have been sick for almost two weeks, and STILL have not been able to get the results of my bloodwork. It is now FRIDAY. Five days later, and I still haven't been able to speak to the doctor. FIND ANOTHER OFFICE! Trust me!!

Doctor Zakharov is a wonderful man; caring, knowledgeable, down-to-earth... I have greatly enjoyed having him as my doctor. He has put me at ease during very scary medical problems, been thorough with testing, and exemplary in his treatment. He is a joy.
However, the staff at the desk (not everyone, but at least a few people) are rude and sarcastic. My appointment was changed without notice TWICE. The only reason I found out was because I called to confirm, or else I would have been an hour late. The woman on the phone told me I needed to come in fifteen minutes early because I was a new patient, even though I told her I had been there before- she insisted I hadn't, and that "there was no file" on me. I had been there multiple times, for well visits and emergencies/illnesses. When she put me on hold, she gave no notice. A few times she hung up altogether, though it is unclear if she intended to or not. She told me I couldn't come at the time I had originally wanted (5:45) because it was too late (the woman I spoke to three days earlier gave me this appointment, and I planned my childcare around it), and then called me back at 7:15 pm, sighing like I was inconveniencing her, and asking when I wanted to come in.
I shouldn't have to fight to get an appointment with my GP, and I shouldn't feel bullied by his staff. It's too bad, because he really is a great doc, but I just can't deal with being made to feel anxious by his staff. Or stupid. Or like I'm a huge bother because I want an appointment that works for me and I want them to find my file.
It's been a good few years, doctor Zakharov! I'll miss you. But no human being should be treated the way the staff treats people at this practice.
