Reviews to Dr. Farhana H. Khan, MD
I am writing this with an alias because we have not announced yet but I need people to know to not come to the office. Initial appt, I waited an hour and 20 minutes to finally see the OB. Dr Khan told me the tests she wanted to order for me, and said the front office would give me the paperwork. Made a follow up appt and front office, said bye so I went on my merry way. Found out later they were suppose to give me paperwork, and said they would fax it to the lab. I called back the next day to confirm what tests I am getting done so I can confirm with the lab, front office was never able to give me an answer. Completed tests, got a call today from a genetic counselor and freaked out thinking my results were high risk and OB never called me. Found out from counselor he was calling to schedule my NT scan which I need done TODAY to meet the timeframe. Said that the OB forgot to fax them the information originally. Mind you, I did call the front office to ask what tests I was getting done, had they told me I would have known to follow up with genetic counselor. Now I have missed an important 1st trimester scan in my first pregnancy. I feel I am not getting a call from my OB because they are embarrassed on their mistake, but I need my test results so I can send them to my new OB. yes I switched OB's. I don't need my OB office to stress me out during this pregnancy. Oh and PS - genetic counselor told me this isn't the first time this has happened with this particular office.

Dr. Khan is a good doctor who truly cares for her patients, including my wife, but when you visit a doctor office you must consider all the factors of the clinic. Here is the review I gave for her clinic in Clifton:
Great doctor, but be prepared to wait for at least 1 hour every visit. This clinic has no sonogram machine and does not do any blood work in the office. They will send you out to another lab or clinic to get sonogram and blood work done. All these things considered, Dr. Khan is amazing. Highly recommended throughout pregnancy and especially in the delivery room.
To recap:
Great doctor who actually cares but she needs to fix these things:
1) Wait times, appointments
2) No sonogram machine
3) No blood work done in office

I had a great experience with Dr. Khan and will continue to use her. She's very attentive and she's gets to the bottom of what ever is going on. I see some complaints about the wait time but that is to be expected when the doctor is great. Everyone wants the best. Hell who wants to go to a dr.'s office where there is no one waiting. I guess they could work on scheduling but the doctors service it definitely worth the wait.

If i could give this doctor negative stars I would because this practice does not even deserve one star. I first arrived as a new patient to this office for my appointment at 5:30. I filled out the new patient forms and waited in the very full waiting room for about a half hour. I figured the doctor was running late so I asked the nurse at the front desk how long it would take and she informed me there were still two patients in front of me. I sat back down and at 6:30 (an hour after my scheduled appointment) I asked again how long it would take and the second nurse responded with "uhhh, ummm, well..." and wouldn't look at me. I asked again, to please let me know how long it would take and her response was "There are two more patients in front of you she will see you soon". I sat back down and waited another half hour (7:00). Again I asked and again I got the response of "uhh, umm, well...There are two more patients in front of you." I was fuming. Both nurses would not look me in the eye. At 7:30 (two full hours past my scheduled appointment) I was ready to leave. I went to the front desk to confront them and once again was told there were two patients in front of me. I told them I could not wait much longer and they assured me I would be put in a room soon. I explained I did not care where I was waiting I wanted to see the doctor. They called me in to the back to take my vitals and again returned me to the waiting room. At 7:40 I was put into a room. Again, I stood there waiting, this time without being able to get the attention of the nurses as they could no longer see me sitting there. I decided to stand in the doorway to make sure they did not forget I was there since they seem to like to ignore things they do not wish to deal with there. Again, I waited. I was finally seen around 8:00; a full 2.5 hours AFTER my scheduled appointment. The doctor walked in, spoke to me for 15 minutes, and told me she wanted me to get some blood work and an ultrasound done. She walked out of the room and I figured she was going to return with a nurse to draw blood and continue the exam. A few minutes later a nurse walks in to tell me I was done. I was livid! They explained that they do not draw blood or do ultrasounds in the office and that I would have to get them done elsewhere and return. The doctor did not even touch me let alone conduct a gynecological exam (which is what I was there for!) To top it all off they asked I return in a month. I got the tests done that the doctor requested and returned for my scheduled appointment again at 5:30. I waited until 6:00 before confronting the nurse at the front desk. I explained that I was traveling overseas in two days and had a lot to get done before I left and that I could not wait there for another 2 or 3 hours to see the doctor for my results. I asked how long it would take and she told me she was not sure. I asked how many people were in front of me and she told me there were a total of FIVE patients in front of me this time. I requested a copy of my test results which she denied stating the doctor needed to sign them and would only sign if she went over the information with me first. I asked why they even bothered making appointments when they would not keep them and she shrugged. I sat down and went online to request the results and they did not show up on my online account for LabCorp. I spoke to a few women in the waiting room who had been there since 4:00 for their appointments and were still waiting 2 hours later. I walked up to the front at 6:30 and again asked for my test results. The nurse argued with me and I asked her to please at least ask the doctor for me and she informed me the doctor was with a patient. I told her that I was not asking her to interrupt her but to please ask her to sign the paperwork for me in between patients and she informed me that she would. I waited another 15 minutes before she got up to speak with the doctor. As soon as she spoke to her she came back with a waiver and a copy of my results. I took the documents and left. I will not be going back.
