Dr. Erich G. Wunsch, DMD

I highly recommend Doctor Erich Wunsch for periodonitic work. Over the last ten years, his professional care and stellar skills have helped me avoid complicated dental surgery, and when necessary, my surgeries with Dr. Wunsch were one hundred percent successful - with little or no pain. Yesterday, after my latest surgery, I slept without pain and feel fine this morning.

Dr. Wunsch's staff is friendly and helpful, just like their boss. He called me at home last night to see how I was doing. He did not rush me off the phone and answered my questions patiently. He genuinely cares.

I’m so happy to have found a highly capable, kind, patient, and trustworthy periodontist named Dr. Erich Wunsch! I was previously scarred from a couple of health providers in the past pressuring me to undergo unnecessary costly procedures. Needless to say, I was so deeply wounded from past experiences, that I was extremely guarded in finding another future provider.

Dr. Wunsch allayed my fears and earned my trust. I did not feel that I was pushed into unnecessary procedures. Any procedure that Dr. Wunsch deemed necessary was kindly explained to me in detail. Dr. Wunsch also explained why it was the most cost effective, yet necessary method.

In fact, Dr. Wunsch spared me an unnecessary gum graft. My general dentist thought I needed both a gum graft and a bone graft, but Dr. Wunsch’s expertise deemed a gum graft was not necessary. Rather than pushing upon me a bone graft immediately, he suggested a “wait and see” approach to assess whether or not a bone graft was necessary. I was grateful that Dr. Wunsch first suggested a planar root scaling procedure and wait to see how well my gums healed after the deep cleaning. If my gums healed well, perhaps a bone graft would not be necessary. In the end, my gums did not respond to the treatment as hoped, so a bone graft was performed on a separate visit. The entire surgical process was calm, efficient, and professional. My gums healed really well and I had no complications. It was the best outcome that I could have ever hoped. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Wunsch and his staff patiently explained to me what to expect during the procedure and how to nurse the wound afterwards.

I am truly grateful for Dr. Wunsch’s expertise. Dr. Wunsch is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and most importantly VERY PATIENT with my many, MANY questions and concerns! I am quite detail oriented, and he answered all of my questions professionally and clearly such that I was extremely satisfied. His entire staff is kind, competent, courteous and patient with my questions as well. “Angela” the receptionist also patiently explained to me the entire insurance billing process. All this and an Ivy League degree to boot! I felt very confident receiving care from Dr. Wunsch!

the office is filthy... also did not explain what he was doing and or the outcome- not great bed side manner... did not speak professionally to his assistant- shop around for another- there are plenty that are much better and cleaner
