My brother was sent here by First Care in Verona. His blood pressure was low, dizzy and they heard a murmur in my heart. The place was packed a read heart factroy. After waiting 90 minutes we were seen. The dizziness issue was never really addressed, but they performed an echocardiogram which found a mitral valve regurgitation and another test --Thoracic Electrical Bioimpedance for Cardiac Output Monitoring -- which his insurance company refuses to pay for b/c it is experimental at best. Surprise, I specifically asked that all procedures be approved by insurance. They then immediately registered my brother for a Cardiac Catheterization at Hackensack Hospital where the doctor's brother runs all the tests. Now I'm obviously not a doctor, but I have done my research and no blood work was done as my brother does not have all the symptoms that follow a mitral valve regurgitation. But more importantly ... when we wanted a second opinion from another physician the efficiency of this office screeched to a halt and it has taken over a week to get a copy of his echo-cardiogram and its analysis. it is impossible to email this doctor's office or get any records without a long bureaucratic mess with numerous phone calls. Just a visit to the doctor's website and you will see there is no email address to contact them. If you have to go here -- get in writing every procedure that they are doing is covered by your insurance company. Before you leave, demand a copy of your medical records. Your life and heart are much too important to be left in the hands of one big medical factory. It's not a place where they remember your name. Cmon docs, have a heart!
