What began as a seemingly pleasant application and leasing process ended with a calculated scheme to withhold our over two thousand dollar security deposit. Liked the building, great super, but very unprofessional leasing office. As we broke our lease early, they told us it was our responsibility to find the next tenant, which we were happy to do. After finding a suitable tenant who had two guarantors and paid a considerable application fee, the Downtown LLC repeatedly ignored our calls and those of the applicant until enough time had passed where the applicant had to back out to look for other options. They took our deposit and the fee from the applicant, essentially stealing nearly three thousand dollars combined. It is shameful that a business that operates under such a mantra can survive.
