DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York - Times Square South

Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful; plenty of fresh and hot complimentary cookies; great location
Cons: double room is cramped for space; elevators are slow; bathroom had an unpleasant odor of sour bleach; lots of construction noise outside

We visited NYC for the first time this past weekend. The hotel is located very close to Times Square, Empire State, Central Park; it was all within walking distance. Room was clean, bathrooms as well, the bed was very comfortable. Everything was working perfectly fine for us. The complimentary cookies were nice and warm. Now the staff was beyond WONDERFUL! They were very welcoming, very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and attentive! We got around NYC very well thanks to them. Richard (Bell Service) and Thomas (Guest Services) stood out the most. They were so friendly and knowledgeable. Gave us step by step directions to anywhere we had to go. I have to say our stay here has been one of the best experiences we’ve had with a hotel. All the staff was great!
