This is a solid Japanese restaurant hidden in the UES that is unknown to most New Yorkers. The food here uses top quality ingredients and is beautifully prepared.

Really wonderful, top-quality dishes here, many of which you'll not be able to find at more typical Japanese restaurants. Try the fried homemade sesame tofu and their various takes on soba noodles.

the food is simple and excellent. nothing is overwelming, but everything is excellent. the chef's choice sushi appitizer is excellent. wonderful saki menu
