Fried duck over waffle with the addition of Brussels was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the trip.

Food was amazing quality but lacking in quantity. Cocktails were very nice too, but the tiny portions (specifically the duck breast) left me with a sour taste in my mouth. This wasn't helped by the fact you can book a table on Open Table up to 10:30 but the kitchen closes at 10:00 so we arrived with literally 2 minutes to spare.
Starter of chicken wings (6 wings) were nice and they were a decent size too. $16 seems a bit on the pricey side but this is New York I suppose.
For mains, I ordered the duck breast while my partner had the Duck & Waffles. Given the cost of the meal, three slices of duck breast is pretty pitiful - not even a vegetable or potato in sight (although a couple of slices of pineapple garnish the plate). The Duck & Waffles also looked quite small on the plate but at least seemed to be reasonably filling.

Good atmosphere, brunch was solid, the biscuits and gravy were great. Love the popcorn!

I attended City Winery for the Cabinet of Wonders show recently and was disappointed with the food and wine. (The show, however, was wonderful!)
I love having the opportunity to sit and drink wine while listening to some great music, but it was seriously over crowded. The wait staff kept tripping over my date, who was practically in the aisle, despite the fact that we were chair-to-chair with are fellow dinner guests.
For a wine bar, I felt that the sommelier made a very poor recommendation on wine. In fact, for the first time in my life, I returned a glass of wine!
City Winery is a beautiful location, and I love the atmosphere. While I would absolutely come back for another show, I will make sure to eat before I come and definitely make my own guess on which wine to try!

If a restaurant is literally empty at 9:30PM on a Saturday night in Tribeca what does that tell you? Our first choice was Locanda Verde which has great food and obviously they were full and we had booked a spot in this restaurant as a backup.
Everything we ordered was either bad or mediocre at best. The drinks were below average as well, cocktails were outright poor quality. We kept asking ourselves how the hell we ended up booking this place.
However the crew in the restaurant certainly think they are the coolest team in Tribeca, they think they are just so good that they started drinking cocktails at around 10:30PM while there were still clients eating in the restaurant.
My sense is that the locals already know this place is horrible and this place will close soon. I can see that they have thrown in the towel.
