There was no forewarning that the half-hour test would have to be completed all at once. I have a debilitating back injury and needed to make adjustments during the test. When I used the call button the technologist told me to adjust myself and try to use the call button only for emergencies. It was an emergency. I was in excruciating pain and if my back had gone into a complete spasm, I wouldn't have been able to get up and drive myself home. When I addressed it with her later, asking that perhaps future patients receive some extra consideration, she told me that I was there because I was in pain. And if someone is coming for an MRI, they know that they will have to lie down for the test. Not the response that I had hoped for. I have never been to any diagnostic facility where patient comfort wasn't a priority. Bottom line, if a patient is comfortable the likelihood of them moving involuntarily during the test and ruining the image decreases, plus DRA gets a good review. This was a very disappointing experience and I will use another radiology center from now on. I gave DRA a chance because it's four minutes from my house, but Teaneck Radiology is a much better facility.
