I had a great appointment here. Only waited about 20 minutes. They quickly reviewed my medical history and I was taken care of within the span of 45 minutes. No complaints here.

I called about possibly setting up a weekend appointment, and the receptionist retorted "We're NEVER open on Saturdays." Real attitude problem, that one.

I was very disappointed after learning about my mother's recent visit to Dr. Gold. I am a third year medical student, and I could not believe the lack of consideration displayed one of his patients. He told me mom to lay down on her stomach, as he was going to remove a mole on the bottom of her toe. My mom very nervously proceeded to lay face-down, and obviously could not see what Dr. Gold was doing behind her. Then, without any warning Dr. Gold administered a local anesthetic by sticking a needle into my mom toe. He did not tell my mom what he was doing. He did not explain that the procedure involved the use of local anesthesia. Instead, he just stuck the needle and started the procedure. My mom had no idea what was being done. Her first thought was that Dr. Gold was slicing the mole off and she could feel everything! How could Dr. Gold not explain to my mom that he was going to start the procedure, that it involved injecting anesthesia, and that she would feel a sting first and that it was normal? As a medical student, I have been taught to communicate with my patients everytime I touch them. I could never imagine performing a procedure on a patient without explaining what the procedure involved and clearly telling them that I am starting. I am deeply disappointed that Dr. Gold did not appreciate how vulnerable his patients are, especially with his years of experience.
