Dermalogica Academy

I always have a great experience here, the space is grand, the young women are lovely and professional the atmosphere is very serine and the decor is chic but not overbearing. They take great care if you from the personal lockers, the fresh robes, the amazing products and it should go without saying but unfortunately it has not always been my experience in spas in NYC, the facilities are immaculate.

I recently graduated from the 600 hour skin therapy certification course at Dermalogica Academy, and am very satisfied with the education I received as well as the experience I gained. Many other schools teach only by the textbook and to pass the state board exam alone, however Dermalogica has a team of industry-experienced educators that teach hands-on with the goal of creating skin therapists fully prepared to enter work. Halfway into the course you are already providing services to paying clients, and by graduation have extensive experience in skin treatments, facial and body waxing, and massage. In addition, each student becomes an excellent retailer, prescribing product to each client following their service, something that will be expected of you coming into a position and something other schools cannot offer that do not have their own skincare line to teach, use in the treatment room, and sell to clients. Dermalogica is the full package, and if you want to work in skin therapy, this is the school for you.

Dermalogica Academy is an excellent choice when it comes to developing an education in the field of Aesthetics.

I am very glad I chose this school - not only I gained the important knowledge of skin care and beauty industry but also I met wonderful people and open-minded instructors who were always there for me.

The school facility is hi-tech and beautiful which is important if you are spending most of your time there. The Academy provides an access to Ipads and other electronics. The entire space is very pleasant to work/study in, students can also hang out in the little cafeteria during the breaks.

As I mentioned before the school instructors are highly educated and have much to offer. They are well trained professionals who you can trust, they surely have your best interest at heart. Part of the education at the Academy involves working with the real clients (you will be doing face treatments, waxing, mini-massages) but no worries, the educators are always there for you to support you!

I always enjoyed having interesting guests during our classes. Various people from beauty industry were coming to us to teach us about the business (from make-up artists to the founders and directors), also students were being a part of many fancy events where we had a chance to meet Jane Wurwand - the founder of Dermalogica skin care brand!

When I first walked into the Academy I knew this was the right school for me. If you care about your education and not afraid of new and exciting experiences you will surely love it too. I highly doubt it there is an aesthetics school in NYC that compares to Dermalogica Academy - it is top notch and all you really need to become a Skin Therapist.

Wow! What a find! I found out through word of mouth and was very pleased with the facial I received.. In fact, I felt so good about my skin afterwords that I purchased a number of their products, which I am just delighted with.
