I enjoy riding and walking through here because of its calm atmosphere. You will find fisherman near the water as well as bike riders and runners passing through. You get amazing views of the Verrazano bridge and Coney Island in the distance. This area is property of the U.S. Army and falls under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Army Garrison at Fort Hamilton. Basically what resides under the bridge are remnants from the Revolutionary War. I wish more was done to restore this area. It is not the most picturesque; however, when you look up, the view of the bridge will take your breath away.
