DATARECOUP Recovery Services was very prompt returning initial phone call as well as responding to any questions/comments I posted to the ticket. Pick-up of disk was same-day and person-to-person (as opposed to mailing it somewhere). DATARECOUP Recovery Services assured me that great care would be taken to get the most data possible off my failed drive.
Initial estimate was below the final cost (as I recall), but the company was very open to adjusting cost based on my expectations and notes from initial discussion - something else that was pleasant and unexpected.

After a catastrophic hard disk failure on my 7 year old iMac, I had that sinking feeling knowing that I had probably lost more than 10000 photographs of the children growing up. Although to a lesser extent, I was attached to my landscape pictures that I had made over years.
I found DATARECOUP Recovery Services after a Google search. Before them, I tried PCWorld KnowHow. They had my computer for nearly a month, but could not retrieve my data.
The DATARECOUP Recovery Services guys were very helpful (some would probable say one too many phone calls-not a criticism).
The hard disk needed a critical part and the procedure was not guaranteed to work. Well it worked, and my data is safe and backed up.
A very positive experience. This process is not cheap. But given the value of my data, worth it I think.

Datarecoup recovered everything I asked for and even found a Hidden Directory with even more data.
The price the speed and most of all, My Data, great job.
