Not a good place at all

I suggest don't waste your time with this place. Since the moment I came in, it was not worth it. I have been to many catering halls, but never one like this. Once you come in there is no one to greet and direct you. Second once I found someone from the party (we had just got their before the entrance of the bday girl and her court was about to enter. When we were told to go into the room. We were told we could not go in that way. We had to go around? What does that mean? When I asked, the girl looked at me with an attitude and said through the kitchen. Who the hell sends guest to walk through a kitchen. Then after that we were told we could not go through there, making us go back to the door we were supposedly suppose to come in. Why all the merry go around. I don't know. The Maitre D was a big a**hole. He was so unprofessional screaming at the guest and at my cousin (who was the mother of the birthday girl) I felt so bad for her because she felt embarrassed. They had over 20 people supposedly sitting in a table made for 12, when we asked for an extra chair. He had the audacity to take it from a table where obviously someone was sitting on and brought it to us with the expression "here's your chair". I've never felt so disgraced. There was also no one available to pick up the drinks or the plates from the table. Second of all they didn't let the bday get to do the 16 candle celebration or get to sing hbd because the maitre d' had her cut the cake and when she said I have to do the candle lighting...He caught an attitude and said that wasn't important. Was he for real??? I really didn't understand why they "rushed" it when my cousin had paid for the function to happen within a 5 hour time frame. After the cake was cut and took to the back supposedly for them to finish cutting it to serve the guests. No one in my table had cake. No one remembers if even cake was served. What did they do with it?...I have no clue. The only people that I can say was friendly was one of the bartenders. She did an amazing job. She would remember our drinks and when she would see we were low...she automatically came with the next one. But outside of her...their staff sucks. After the party I had went downstairs as a favor to a friend from church who is planning a sweet 16 for her daughter. I had shared that I was going to a Sweet 16 that evening and had asked for me to gather information. As courtesy to her, I went to get the info. When I asked the person for a pamphlet, he asked me what do I want it for. In my mind I was like "HELLO!?!? Why would I ask for a pamphlet. I told him I have someone interested in your venue. Hello, isn't the best advertising for a business a referral. He looked at me like he was bothered to get up and go get the pamphlet so he opened the drawer to the desk and gave me a card. Since he did it with such a disgust, I just ripped it in his face and dropped it right there in the office. Anyone who knows me knows I'm not easily bothered. But trust me, if you are paying for a service, you are entitled to get great service, especially in a place where it is customer orientated. Don't waste your time. You shouldn't have to pay money to anyone giving you crappy customer service.

They are a bunch of theives the mexican staff stole my bag with all my information in it the food was from bjs and the staff did not no english they have very old elevators I paid alot of money for nothing I hated it

I had my wedding here on 10/16/10 in the Crystal Room.

Let me start off by saying that I care not if the management reads this. They are a bunch of despicable individuals who lie, cheat, and hire help that is not even worth the 18% they apply as a service charge.

The day before our wedding, My husband, my mother and I went to the hall to drop off liquor. We had 4 bottles of Johnnie Walker Black, 2 large bottles of Gray Goose, and 1 large bottle of Petron. We dropped it off with manager Carlos and we indicated we wanted the empty bottles back.
It was OUR fault we did not ask for some sort of indication of this. But after almost of a year of constant contact with them by dropping off payments (on time mind you, never late!) I became friendly with them. I had it on good faith they would return the bottles to us. So much for that!

Now, the day of the wedding, we had a reception with no food, only alcohol from 5pm - 7pm, and from 7pm - 8pm was the official cocktail hour with food. Several of my co-workers and some family members went to the hall at 5pm and they indicated to me from 5pm - 6pm, there was approximately 10-15 adults there milling about. Around 7pm - 8pm is when most family members poured into the hall, this was confirmed by the MANY pictures that were taken by various people. Pictures don't lie.

Why is that bartender holding on the bar for dear life? Because he is TOASTED. Lucky for me, my brother-in-law captured him being escorted out on video, which is going to be uploaded to YouTube. You see him clearly inebriated! Is this the wait staff they hire?? Really?

The food comes around, awful. The chicken is dry, the salmon smelled funny and the short rib was chewy. Its no wonder they DON'T ALLOW you to taste the food beforehand!

We can get past that, everyone is having a good time, right? 10:30 rolls around, I get pulled aside by the maitre'd ALL OF OUR LIQUOR IS FINISHED! I will give you a minute to scroll back up and see how much bottles we brought in.

There was about 100 people that attended our wedding, 30-40 of them do not drink (mostly from my husband's side), so you mean to tell me all those bottles are finished? Let me clarify my liquor was NOT the only liquor provided! They had a list of about 10-15 liquors that came with our package including the ever popular Bacardi! So by 10:30 EVERYTHING is finished?

I tell my father who is surprised as hell. Him, along with an aunt of mine runs out and buys two 1/2 gallon of J.Walker Black and one more large bottle of petron. By the time he gets back, around 11pm, ALL of my husband's family has left.

I remember this clearly because I paid extra to book the hall until 1am, and I recall telling my husband we really didn't need it. So there is maybe at this point in the night 40-50 adults left from my side, given the fact and quite a few could NOT drink because they drove to the hall, you mean to tell me those 3 extra bottles my father bought are done??

Yes! That's what DANTE'S says! The next morning, 10/17 @ 11am, my mother returns to the hall to pick up the empty bottles and a gift that was left only to find out they "threw the bottles away"

I tell you, that's what having "good faith" gets me! They KNOW we asked for the bottles back! It is a common request made to halls when liquor is brought in to any hall!

Also, the gift that was left behind? The card was stolen off of it.

We got in contact with Dante's when we returned from our honeymoon only to have them not very nicely tell us my mother is a liar and they returned 1 and a half bottles to her.

At the point, it is my word against theirs! But better believe I tell the truth! I have absolutely nothing to loose from this, they do! Do NOT trust them with your liquor! Do not trust them to provide adequate staffing! Do not trust them to feed you edible food!
